Today I want to talk to you about something very cool. We’re cat people. And I know lots of you are like me and try to run an all-natural home. No harsh chemicals, no mystery additives in things, no synthetic perfumes that mask bad smells. Most importantly – nothing that’s going to be bad for my kitties. I want things clean and for real, and for real clean.
I have five cats, so this can be a challenge. But I’ve discovered a cat litter that has seriously changed my home from a place that often smelled…cat-rific, to a place that SERIOUSLY smells fresh. Like, breathe deep fresh. No worries fresh. Invite people over fresh.
“I should buy a car.”
And the best part is it is 100% natural pine reclaimed from lumber production. No new trees are cut to make this stuff. I love that! It’s chemical-free, clay-free, reasonably priced and neutralizes kitty odors on contact. It’s Feline Pine™ Original Non-Clumping Cat Litter.
Here are my cats. I love them with all my heart. Having said that, this crew can kick up a STANK. In age-order, oldest to youngest…
14-15 years old. Complicated. Rowdy. Loving. A litter box destroyer.
6 years old. Deaf. Sweet. Lives life on his own terms. Another litter box destroyer.
5 years old. Smart. Confident. My hero. Litter box ninja.
3 years old. Girly-girl. Shy. Beautiful inside and out. A litter box princess.
6 months old. Joyful and bright. Bringer of mayhem and awesomeness. The mayhem doesn’t stop at the litter box.
This crew has been using Feline Pine™ Original Non-Clumping Cat Litter for a few weeks. We. Are. Loving it! It’s easy on their paws and chemical-free, so I feel great about them using it. They don’t kick it all over the place like they did with their old litter (yay!) and I wish I could get you over here to smell this place. Ammonia and poopy odors neutralized on contact, and all from 100% natural pine. I’m beyond impressed.
Lupita and I have a green living, money saving, fresh-smelling litter box tip to share with you. This knocks my socks off almost as much as Feline Pine™ Cat Litter does.
Do you use plastic litter boxes? We used to. After a while and lots of going and scratching in there, nasty stuff works itself into those scratches. Good luck getting the stank out! Clean, scrub, soak, nothing works. And I don’t want to pitch those out every few months, because they’re non-recyclable and that’s not awesome. We’ve switched to aluminum foil roasting pans. Cheap, recyclable and no lingering odors! Here’s how we do it.
Ok whoa. This one is ready to be replaced. These cats are savages! Scrub this down good and put it in the aluminum recycling bin.
Now I put down a fresh disposable aluminum pan, which I get a buck and change.
I put paper in the bottom to minimize cleanup when it’s ready to be recycled.
Then I fill it up with Feline Pine™ Cat Litter. Do your worst, kitties! I scoop and add more as needed. When the pan is trashed in a few weeks (ahem Red and Bubby!) I’ll start again. As someone who likes to roll the all-natural way and have a cat-filled home you can breathe deep in, you owe it to yourself to check out Feline Pine™ Original Non-Clumping Cat Litter.
