Healthy popsicle recipes – My favorite way to unwind on a long summer weekend: kickin it in the backyard, watching the birds and chilling with a treat I can feel great about, like some sweet, feel-good popsicles. These five popsicle recipes stood out to me because they have unique, delicious flavors and they’re made with natural, healthy ingredients. And they’re literally fun on a stick!
Pineapple, lime, ginger, all frozen into a creamy, healthy popsicle…I want to reach through the screen and grab one. These are mostly naturally sweet, and pineapple has lots of boosty vitamin C. Page translates easily to English if you’re using Chrome.
Blueberries, mango, banana…don’t even get me started on all the vitamins and nutrients going on there. Plus (plus!) these have flax and chia seeds and a little shot of leafy greens. But you had me at blueberry mango banana.
Almond, berries and dairy free yogurt…I taste fruity frozen cheesecake-i-ness in the works. The almonds are great with protein and antioxidants, and the berries have lots of vitamin C. This one’s especially good for those making their own almond milk, but even if you’re not, the flavor combination is a great idea.
I love the idea of southern sweet tea frozen into a refreshing ice pop. Tea has all kinds of antioxidant properties, and if you’re like me and enjoy a little caffeine kick it’s got that too. If you prefer decaf, that works too.
Here’s one of mine, a tofu-strawberry blend that tastes like creamy strawberry ice cream. They’re high protein and only 80 calories each, and the strawberries have a nice little kick of fiber and vitamin C. But whatever, they taste like strawberry ice cream. 🙂
